What is Steps?

The purpose of Steps DTM is to disciple and train individuals who are interested in becoming full-time staff writers for Trailblazin Ministries. Once an individual becomes a full-time writer, they will then continue in the discipleship process to grow in their knowledge of the Scripture and become prepared to train others.

Although this discipleship training is geared towards those who are interested in becoming teachers of the gospel and writers for Trailblazin Ministries, we also hold at least one space in our enrollment for those who are merely interested in deepening their understanding of the Word of God and Biblical doctrine, yet have no interest in being a staff writer.

What Will You Learn?

The curriculum consists of 10 in-depth lessons, and here is a taste of what you can expect to learn as a member of Steps DTM:

How Long Does it Take?

In many ways, Steps DTM is a self-paced training ministry, as there are no deadlines that are firmly set in stone. We realize that everyone has other obligations and priorities, and it is our desire to be as flexible and accommodating as humanly possible. With that, though, it is our expectation that it should take you roughly 5-6 months to complete the entirety of the curriculum. The first 3-4 months will consist of going through the 10 lessons of the curriculum, while the remaining 2 months involve personal coaching to help guide and train your writing abilities.

Things to Consider

Still considering Steps DTM? If so, here are a few things that you should be committed to do as a member of Steps DTM:

Prepared to spend several hours a week in study of the Scriptures and going through lesson material (roughly 5-6 hours a week, or about an hour a day)
Ready to be an active participant in the Trailblazin Ministries Community Forum, if you aren't already
Committed to daily prayer and Scripture reading

Enrollment Information

The enrollment period for Steps DTM is open year round, so you can feel free to submit an application at any point in time during the year. Even though we accept enrollment throughout the course of the year, we only rollover our classes twice a year, in January and July. As we already stated, the course takes approximately 6 months to complete, so we only allow new students to begin their course of study at those two times of the year.

Also be aware that simply because you submit an application, it does not guarantee that you will be a part of the next Steps DTM session. Enrollment into the program is at the discretion of the Trailblazin Ministries leadership and is also dependent upon the number of applications we receive. At this point in time, we are only accepting no more than six (6) students for any given training session.

You will be contacted if the enrollment is full, and you will then be considered for enrollment in a future class if you are still interested in participating. The current enrollment status will always be listed at the bottom of this page.
